For a typical skin to function normally, you need 3 files:
- .bmp file - colored texture of the flesh and clothing
- .skn file - skeleton file
- .cmx file - tells how the .bmp and .skn should combine
Troubleshoot:
- If you have a .bmp file in your game with no corresponding mesh (.skn and .cmx), the skin will probably just not show up. Not much harm.
- If you have .skn and/or .cmx with no matching .bmp, it can cause the game to crash.
To add skins to your game:
- Place skin files in the GameData > Skins folder (no subfolder)
